From the first tree cut to the top of the log cabin walls. I like to be organized and plan things in advance, but this cabin build was so organic that I couldn't plan ahead, instead changing directions repeatedly. Looking back at the year on video, I remember every minute of the build and the challenges I had to overcome each and every day. I install the top course of logs on two sides of the off grid log cabin, including the heaviest logs yet, and then move the woodstove to the final location in the cabin where it will not be in the way as I finish the last two walls. It was a harsh February, with temperatures well below average, above average snowfall and once a week, high temperatures with rain and freezing rain followed by flash freezes.
