On GMB today, I spoke about a really important point that often gets lost in the headlines: Doctors are contractually and professionally obligated to return to work if an emergency staffing situation arises during strike action. This isn’t optional. It’s written into our contracts, mandated by NHS trusts, and overseen by the BMA in coordination with hospitals.
