Man of Tomorrow was somewhat connected in the same way. There is a Man of Steel series of trades that cover very much of this period, through all titles in context.

When did Superman become such a brooding character?
Feb 16, 2021. #1. There's no question that over the past 15 years at least there's been a directional shift with Superman to make him a much more brooding and somber character. It seems TPTB have latched onto the "isolated alien" concept and it's pretty much been the mainstay in most incarnations of the character we've seen recently.

Aug 28, 2017 · Most of the stuff I love is Pre-Crisis, but I loved Superman and the Legion of Superheroes. Kryptonite Nevermore stands as a definitive storyline. You can read it all at 'Superman Through The Ages" website as well. Also if you like silly little stories: Action Comics 484 followed by the Mr. and Mrs. Superman series from Superman Family.

In the books, Superman is normally drawn taller/bulkier than other heroes like Batman, Flash, Aquaman, etc. In the JL movie, Batman and Aquaman are obviously larger than Superman and in the CW, Flash and Green arrow are definitely taller. Sep 26, 2016 · In the early '40s, in the comic strip, each of their members tried to destroy Superman. The story went on for nearly a year. The most colourful villain in their ranks was the Blonde Tigress. I think a large group of villains all working together to bring down Superman makes more sense and has greater story potential.
