What I would do with a 335 is get all BMW Performance parts: aero kit, rims, brake kit, exhaust (or aftermarket) and if you want you want you can add the interior parts too. This will make it stand out more than another ‘fake’ badged up M3. Reply.

Dec 9, 2019 · Any LCI 2011-2013 335i's came with the n55, which is single twin scroll turbo which is more reliable than the old twin turbo n54s. A similar engine from the n55 family is also in the M235i. N54's aren't bad but only if you plan on doing heavy mods to boost power, otherwise stick with the 2011-2013 e92. Reply reply.

Symptoms include dirtier than normal oil, or in the case of a 335i, light smoke coming from the front passenger side. If you remove the cowl (common mod, controversial as well), you might be able to see oil leaking onto your cats.

It has rod knock as far as I know and am looking to swap the good parts from my blown engine to this one and the new bearings I installed on the blown engine. I'm in the market for a new car, and if I do go with a BMW, the E92 335i is the one I'd go for as you can still get them new (and the F32 is too long away) and perfect in looks (in my opinion. I know many of you would rather the classics). However, I've heard there's been some major problems in these E90s.

Jan 24, 2023 · The N54 DCT was known as the "highline" and was available in 2009 only. The N55 from 2010 onwards, the LCI model, came with a DCT. The LCI E90 and E91 however came with an N55 and same ZF 6 speed as the pre LCI. At least this was the case in EU. Both of them, literally everywhere except NA. 335is got a DCT and a 6 speed manual option.
