Dec 1, 2007 · Cody knows what he likes in a knife and he likes a MORA "Classic." His breadth of experience is shown by his statement that stainless steel knives are harder to sharpen that non-SS knives. He apparently never met a cheap SS knife or a good D2 knife.

Mors and Cody Lundin in the Rabitstick randevu, both are known Mora knives users. Mors has around his neck a 511 sheath. It was with Mors that he was introduced to the red-handled Mora knife.

Aug 13, 2011 · Cody Lundin uses a Mora Classic that has a 98mm (3.86") high carbon steel blade with a wooden handle. This is actually not a great choice for an all-purpose survival knife because it uses a 'rat-tail' tang rather than the much stronger full tang design, and the handles do sometimes break off.

Dec 31, 2000 · I've been doing some reading lately and just read Cody Lundin's book. He recommends a Mora knife in carbon steel because the steel is easier to sharpen than supersteels (or stainless) and because the scandi grind creates a bevel that lends itself to ease of sharpening, as opposed to the more modern, hi-tech grinds most high dollar knives feature.

Jan 4, 2014 · In his earlier days, Cody lundin used a Mora #2, and he used his original one for 20+ years. If you have enough experience you can use a sharpened piece of stone for your "survival knife " if needs be.

Mar 26, 2004 · The Mora Companion does have one of the most comfortable and secure grips and I do like mine. I have both carbon and 12c27. But for the finest hiking, backpacking and outdoor travel knife I go with the ultralight Mora #1 just like Cody.
