Dec 30, 2020 · The Smart-UPS C 1500 is not SNMP enabled on its own. The only way to obtain SNMP management on a Smart-UPS C 1500 unit is with our PowerChute Business Edition software. If your UPS is APC model number SMC1500 as you seem to indicate it is, the SMC1500 does not have a smart slot so it cannot be used with our Network Management Cards.

Apr 27, 2012 · IIRC that’s what got me. UPS was fairly loaded, batteries were shot, setting was to start shut down when 5 minutes were left on battery. Unplugged the power cord to move it or reroute it, but it was the UPS that was connected to the software. The server immediately started to shutdown since it didn’t have more than 5 minutes runtime left.

Oct 3, 2023 · Oh and the other really sucky thing about the APC cloud portal, is if the UPS sends a lot of alerts APC just shuts down the email alerts and you have to log back into the site to re-enable the email alerts. I have had sites where the power flickers maybe 15 times in a few minutes and APC killed the email alerts for that UPS.

We are looking into installing the network management cards into these backups. Does anyone have suggestions on types of software to use? Looking for any input on monitoring these battery backups.
