Moto Morini is an Italian motorcycle manufacturer founded by Alfonso Morini in Bologna, in 1937. Earlier, Morini had also manufactured motorcycles together with Mario Mazzetti under the name MM.

Export of Moto Morini motorcycles to the USA begin. New models were created with different specifications to meet the demands of American riders. Model names were even changed to the Pirate, Thunder Chief, Jaguar, and Twister to win over American riders.

Jun 5, 2019 · It's a 60 cc version of the Corsarino Scrambler, renamed by the US importer. The regular Corsarino was called the "Pirate". I worked on a 250 "Tornado" (Settebello) that had the same handlebars. I'd love to have it. Moto Morini produced 50cc mopeds in the 1960s and first half of the 1970s. There were 2 models: the Corsarino (=Little Pirat) and the Dollaro. Please note: the Corsarino was called "Pirate" in the US. The Corsarino Scrambler became the "Twister". The Pirats/Twisters for the US market got a 60cc 4-stroke engine.

Moto Morini is acquired by two entrepreneurs: Sandro Capotosti and Ruggeromassimo Jannuzzelli and in 2013 the factory is relocated in Trivolzio, to the province of Pavia. The ownership passes entirely to the Jannuzzelli family.
