Jul 15, 2004 · Been to FIAT a couple of times but they couldn't find any problem. Only happens when going over uneven roads - kind of clunking / rattling / squeeking noise. Incidentally, my sporting is also an import and had exactly the same hill holder problem, which was fixed by my local dealer under warranty - clutch switch replaced.

Nov 8, 2003 · The 1.6 8v Sporting is generally cosidered an Mk0 (in sporting terms), as opposed to the 1.2 16v Mk1 which replaced the former. 1.2 16v runs at 86 bhp, 1.6 8v runs at 90bhp, however the 1.2 is slightly nippier due to it's 16 vales and the FIRE (Fully Intergrated Robotic Engine) they decided to whack in over the standard-style sporting engine!

Dec 4, 2005 · Fiat seemed to have worked hard on the "wow factor" and most of the initial things you see and touch are good news. The door shuts with a good thuck and the seats on the Sporting hold you in well. One odd thing is the set of nine silver raised spots on each of the seat bases and backs; you're never quite sure whether to love or hate them.
