Mar 2, 2020 · For over 90% of the games I used to play before Rocket League, I've been using keyboard and mouse. To me it seems like more experienced controller users (like console players) can use much more complicated button combinations, where I need to keep things very simple to be able to control it properly.

Mar 16, 2021 · For sure - Rocket League is unlike any other game and has almost nothing that transfers over in terms of mechanics, but the learning process and having the appropriate mindset and ability to focus on improving, and the motivation to grind, are all some of the most important things, and all of which carry over regardless of genre.

Mar 11, 2022 · Honestly one of the biggest things that helped me secure my place in champ was learning how to play around my teammate even if they weren't the best, I play a lot of random duos and was set in my gameplay and started to plateau but once I started to do my best to adapt to my tm8s, rotating around them, staying back when they're up, etc, it really helped me to move up in the ranks ADAPTABILITY ...

Mar 27, 2022 · Dont know how relevant this comment would be fpr ppl now lol but i didnt touch a controller for about 4 years, i hear rl was free fl it and got to champ 1 in 9 days so i imagine it aint hard to get to champ 1 making smart plays but now i need to play free play to learn mechs as i get slapped by anyone that was higher rank that got demoted lol

Feb 1, 2022 · What I can say is that Champ 2 is really where I felt like a “champ” player. Most people have consistent rotations and don’t whiff easy balls and are in decent positions. Obviously there are still many mistakes but it’s not GC.

In the champ levels, you could have a wide variety of masted one or two of these skills, but dogwater in other areas; strong in 4 or 5 skills, mid in others; and those specific skill sets are tested in line with your teammates' and against your opponents' individual skillset.

Nov 4, 2021 · Rocket League (and lots of things) are plagued by people imitating what they see. Pros go super fast, so people go super fast, but they aren't deliberately getting touches with a plan. The point of Flakes' series is to prove that it CAN be done without insanely difficult mechanics, not to imply that it is easy.
