Mar 1, 2019 · There’s something about a whole car being matte black that just doesn’t appeal to me. It reminds me of plasti-dipped wheels, which I don’t find appealing, either. The matte finish for Daytona Grey, though, that is quite sexy. Just not matte black.

Sep 20, 2023 · I am trying to paint an Audi R8 model car with the Splash paint color called Nero Nemesis. This is the color name given to matte black Lamborghinis. Instructions on the web page state: DARK GREY OR BLACK PRIMER IS RECOMMENDED FOR THIS COLOR. Flash off until matt between coats. 20-25 PSI IS RECOMMENDED.

Mar 30, 2015 · I don't like the R8 in black for the same reason I don't like the R8 Spyder, it loses a lot of the lines and the contrast from the sideblades. It ends up blending in, and the R8, coupe in any other color, stands out perfectly, not in your face but it has something special to it.

Aug 21, 2022 · Looks good, but unpopular opinion, the rotor wheels dont look good painted. Imo its one of the best wheel designs Audi ever made, but it looks way better as a bicolor wheel. Paint it black? Ok, but keep the polished outside face.

IMO from those 2 images alone, the silver wheels look better. I firmly believe the black wheels would look much better if the chrome around the window trims/lower fog covers was removed and the mirror caps were also black to match. Looks a little weird rn with black wheels / blackout front grille but chrome window trims / mirrors.

Jan 23, 2024 · My '24 S5 Sportback. It is super cool. Love this one ( had many other Audi ) Checks all the boxes. Quick, handles superbly and exudes quality. Not to mention one of the hottest profiles -silhouettes of all the 4 door coupes available. The design may be 5 years on, but like most Audi ( R8-R10 for example) the style is still cutting edge
