Jan 26, 2015 · I use EBL 600mAh Li-Ion 9V batteries for my Tesoro detectors and pinpointers. For my Etrac I use EBL 2800mAh Ni-MH AA batteries. I've been very happy with these batteries and they all last for a pretty long time. You can get 4 9V's plus a charger for less than $20. The same goes for 8 AA's plus a charger.

When I was going from the AT Pro to the 800 and being a returning detectorist after using the boat anchor detectors in the late 80's I really was a total newbie.

Jun 8, 2024 · Buy once, cry once. Depends on how long you want to chase this rabbit. I would recommend that you to think that your next detector will be your last detector. Your budget may enter into some of your metal detecting equation, but the Nokta Legend was a good number for me. Check Craigslist for a used detector that is better than your 440.
