In the world of "You're Cordially Invited," a romantic comedy starring Reese Witherspoon and Will Ferrell, you can simply call a venue, have the proprietor drop dead before writing your reservation down in a guest book, and then never check again until you arrive at the destination on the wedding weekend only to discover you've been double booked.

Will Ferrell and Reese Witherspoon are ready to play, and “You’re Cordially Invited” has its moments, which is enough, probably, for home viewers in a five-or-six-laughs-will-do frame of mind. The comedy, written and directed by Nicholas Stoller, premieres Jan. 30 directly to Prime Video.

You're Cordially Invited” is reheated comedy leftovers, for the most part, but there’s enough warmth, sentimentality, and belly laughs to make for a raucous timewaster.
