Citing a lab report on Friday, the TTD stated that there was presence of "lard" (pig fat) and other impurities in the ghee.

The revered Tirupati Balaji Temple is embroiled in a major controversy as allegations surface claiming that the sacred laddus, served as prasadam, are adulterated with animal fat. These accusations have sparked outrage among devotees and led to a fierce political battle in Andhra Pradesh.
