As first responders continue to rescue people stranded by the torrential flooding that descended on central Texas Friday, dozens of people are facing a parent’s worst nightmare: Their children are missing.

Extreme flooding in Central Texas has left at least 32 dead.Some two dozen girls from a summer camp remain missing.The director of another camp was among those killed in the flood, according to the camp's website.

Texas parents frantically posted photos of their young daughters on social media with pleas for information as at least 23 campers from an all-girls summer camp were unaccounted for after floods tore through the state’s south-central region overnight.
