A highly anticipated women's basketball matchup between No. 2 South Carolina and No. 5 LSU, planned for Thursday, will be postponed to Friday because of a winter storm, the Southeastern Conference announced Wednesday.

The Southeastern Conference has postponed Thursday night’s women’s basketball game between No. 5 LSU and No. 2 South Carolina in Columbia, South Carolina, until Friday.

The Southeastern Conference said Wednesday that it's rescheduling the LSU -South Carolina women's basketball game due to weather-related travel issues. The game, originally scheduled to tip off at 7 p.m. Thursday in Columbia, South Carolina, will now begin at 4 p.m. CT on Friday.
