OnePlus announced in a press release that it will be pushing the open sale of the Watch 3 to April 2025. Initially, the wearable was supposed to go on sale starting today (Feb. 25), however looks like the company buying time to rectify the typo it made on the back panel of the Watch 3.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Ahem, excuse me. The OnePlus Watch 3 was supposed to launch today, but 9to5 Google reports that it’ll now arrive “sometime in April” over an unfixable “Meda in China” typo on its backplate.

OnePlus has postponed sales of the OnePlus Watch 3 due to a silly typo on its backplate, and the watch will now go on sale sometime in April.

Sadly, that will not be the case, with the unintentional typo forcing OnePlus to delay the Watch 3's release until April 2025. That's a delay of over a month to fix an unintended typo, which the company could have possibly avoided.

Out of all OnePlus’ smartwatch sins, this one is the easiest to forgive. When I received my OnePlus Watch 3 review unit, part of me wondered, “What’s gonna be wrong with this one?” Now, I know. On the backplate, permanently engraved in stainless steel, is a typo. Instead of reading “Made in China,” it reads “Meda in China.”
