Elon Musk’s artificial intelligence start-up xAI says it is in the process of removing "inappropriate" posts by Grok on X, the social media site formerly known as Twitter, after users pointed out the chatbot repeated an antisemitic meme and made positive references to Hitler.

Grok, the bot developed by Mr Musk’s xAI company, was discovered consulting the billionaire’s tweets when asked to weigh in on controversial topics.

Grok made multiple positive references to Hitler this week when queried about posts that appeared to celebrate the deaths of children in the recent Texas floods.
