A Navy SEAL lacked credentials to lead a workout that left nine Tufts lacrosse players hospitalized with rhabdomyolysis, a report found.

The workout led to 24 players being diagnosed with a condition commonly known as “rhabdo” that’s associated with overtraining and can be life threatening.

Two dozen students were injured and nine were hospitalized during the September workout led by a recent school graduate and member of the Navy's elite special forces.

An independent review says a third-party instructor who led a strenuous training session that led to the hospitalization of lacrosse players at Tufts University appeared to lack credentials to supervise group exercise.
