However, Eagles defensive tackle Jalen Carter said after the game that his comments were used as motivation for the Birds as they got the last laugh.

Jared Verse fueled the outrage of Philadelphia Eagles fans with his comments toward them prior to Sunday's divisional round game against the Los Angeles Rams. The Rams pass rusher embraced what he said and had some fun with the fans at Lincoln Financial Field before and during Sunday's loss to the Eagles.

There were plenty of heroes for the Philadelphia Eagles during Sunday's divisional round win against the Los Angeles Rams. Among the most pivotal performances was the one from Eagles defensive tackle Jalen Carter, who wreaked havoc in the trenches throughout the game.

The fireworks started early in Philadelphia. Before their divisional round matchup Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field, Eagles defensive Jalen Carter and the Rams’ Jared Verse exchanged words near the end zone as the rookie Los Angeles edge rusher did a lap around the perimeter.
