Harvard University won a temporary legal reprieve from President Donald Trump’s executive order banning international students and researchers from entering the U.S., after a U.S. District Judge granted a restraining order citing “immediate and irreparable injury” to the school.

Harvard University is striking back against President Trump’s latest effort to prohibit international students from enrolling in the school. In a federal court filing on Thursday, Harvard argued the administration’s move is “part of a concerted and escalating campaign of retaliation by the government in clear retribution for Harvard’s exercising its First Amendment rights.
