A 28-year-old Beaumont man has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison for possessing fentanyl, according to Acting U.S.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Texas has announced that a Beaumont man has been sentenced to federal prison for a drug crime.
The first death came in March 2023 and the second followed the next month. Both deaths were determined to be due to fentanyl.
Officers found 1,200 pills in the home of Joe Anthony Garcia. The pills contained approximately 156 grams of fentanyl.
