A woman is in critical condition after Memphis Police say she was shot in North Memphis on Monday night. At 8:33 p.m., officers responded to a shooting in the area of Springdale and Brown. A woman was taken to Regional One Hospital in critical condition.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - A woman suffered severe wounds in a shooting in North Memphis, according to the Memphis Police Department. Police said officers were called to the area of Springdale Street and Brown Avenue just after 8:30 Monday evening. They said that, once there, officers found a woman shot; she was taken to Regional One for treatment.

Two shootings happened back to back early Monday morning, leaving three people injured in South Memphis, police say. Officers say they responded to the first shooting a little before 1:30 a.m. at 656 South Parkway East,

Investigators arrived to the scene to find 19 spent shell casings along with five bullet holes on the driver's side of the victim's car, police said.
