Sept. 16 (UPI) -- Mia Farrow is temporarily out of the Broadway play, The Roommate, while the 79-year-old actress recovers from COVID. Saturday's matinee and evening performances were canceled, but the show's associate director took over Farrow's role on Sunday.

After missing multiple performances of the newly opened play “The Roommate,” star Mia Farrow returned for the evening performance on Sept. 19. Farrow stars as Sharon, a 65-year-old divorcée who welcomes a new roommate, Robyn (played by Patti LuPone), into her Iowa home. The pair opened in “The Roommate,” directed by Jack O’Brien, on Sept. 12.
