As the U.S. House of Representatives was at a standstill during much of its Wednesday session, all Rep. Steve Womack, R-Ark., could do was sit and wait.

The "Big Beautiful Bill" passed the Senate with bipartisan support, with Arkansas Senators Tom Cotton and John Boozman supporting its tax cuts and security provisions, while Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families oppose the bill due to its Medicaid and SNAP cuts.
