Gibson, who stopped 9 of 10 shots in the first period, was replaced by Lukas Dostal to start the second. The Ducks confirmed Gibson would not return to the game following his removal from it. "Lukas Dostal is now in net for us. John Gibson has an upper-body injury and will not return to this game," the Ducks announced on X.
