An Athens woman lost nearly $20,000 when she went online earlier this month looking to purchase tickets to a University of Georgia event. The 76-year-old woman reported the loss to Athens-Clarke police on Jan. 8 to an officer at the police department on Lexington Road, according to the report released Tuesday.
