This applies to people whose first Pennsylvania driver’s license, learner’s permit or photo ID card was issued after September of 2003, provided your information remains on file with PennDOT.

PennDOT said this week it will host REAL ID Days at 57 driver license centers beginning on Monday, April 28, ahead of the May 7 deadline for federal enforcement.

PennDOT officials have said they are doing what they can to address that. Real ID is an optional form of identification that state residents can get as part of their driver’s license or state ID.
