Following a deadly terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam that killed 26 civilians, India announced measures against Pakistan, vowing justice to victims. Pakistan in retaliation also announced countermeasures against India.

Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif told the New York Times on Friday (April 25, 2025) that an international investigation is needed into the killing of 26 men at Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir, and Pakistan is willing to work with international investigators.

Mumbai: Acting on the Centre’s directives following the recent Pahalgam terror attack, the Maharashtra government has deported 14 Pakistani nationals who were staying in Mumbai on short-term visas. According to the Special Branch of Mumbai Police, 17 Pakistani nationals were traced during the operation.
