This year's quarterback class in the NFL draft is something of a crapshoot. There are plenty of really talented athletes who are available but none that stand out in terms of NFL readiness and polish.

The Texas Longhorns have 19 players in total available to be selected in the NFL Draft, one mock draft has three going in the first round.

Crabbs opted for Texas cornerback Jahdae Barron as the pick. And this pick definitely wouldn’t be awful, even if Barron’s size does make him something of a tweener between a boundary cornerback and a slot cornerback the way the Steelers like to play them.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are seemingly stuck in quarterback purgatory, and there does not seem to be a light at the end of the tunnel. The free agent market is very low on talent at the position, and the 2025 NFL Draft class may be even worse in that regard.

On March 4, the legal tampering period will start in the NFL when teams can begin negotiations with potential free agents. Official free agency begins on March 12 and this will be a flurry of activity set in motion from the week before.
