The New York Knicks were able to squeak out a victory to kick off the return of the regular season schedule after the All-Star break. The Knicks hosted the Chicago Bulls in the Madison Square Garden to get their campaign rolling again. New York secured a 113-111 victory, though it took an overtime period to do so.

For Billy Donovan's vision of the future, the current players have to learn how to win. That was his message coming out of All-Star Weekend, and that was how his squad approached the game in New York.
