Former LIV Golf CEO Greg Norman will be part of the organizing committee for the Brisbane 2032 Summer Olympics, the Australian said Thursday.

Well, that didn’t take long! After being ousted from his LIV Golf CEO position and replaced by Scott O’Neil earlier this month, Greg Norman has already found a new gig in the sports world and it’ll be pretty close to home.

A few months ago, Sports Business Journal reported that LIV Golf would move on from embattled commissioner Greg Norman and replace him with a seasoned sports administrator.

Greg Norman is a man who has done a lot for the world of golf, although his latest decisions have not exactly caused positive reactions.

Greg Norman is set to link up with organizers of the Brisbane 2032 Olympics. Local media has reported that Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese picked Norman to fill a void on the 24-person organizing board for the Games.

Scott O'Neil took up the mantle after Norman as the new chief executive officer of the Saudi Arabia-backed golf league. Recently, the 69-year-old former CEO spoke about his contributions towards the evolution of LIV Golf. As reported by the Australian Golf Digest, Norman said in the interview:

LIV Golf’s outgoing CEO Greg Norman has asked Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy to both recognise that they have benefited from the breakaway league’s creation. Woods and McIlroy, two of golf’s biggest names, have been staunch opponents of LIV Golf and offered the PGA Tour its biggest show of strength when they remained with the established circuit.
