Junior doctors in West Bengal have partially returned to work after a 42-day protest following the rape and murder of a female doctor. They are attending to essential and emergency services but avoiding outpatient departments.

Kolkata: Junior Doctors front have announced to call off their strike regarding the RG Kar College rape and murder incident on September 19. The doctors will return to their work from1. Emergency services will resume but OPD services will remain suspended.

Some of the doctors have also left for flood-affected districts to set up 'Abhaya clinics' (medical camps), demonstrating their commitment to public health despite ongoing protests.
