Erin Patterson's conviction for the deaths by poisoning of her estranged husband's relatives has prompted fevered speculation across Australia about her motive.

Chris Webster, a doctor at the hospital where Patterson presented two days after serving her lethal lunch of beef wellington in July 2023, was a medical witness at her 10-week trial. At the trial, Webster recalled a conversation he had with the convicted murderer.
