The National Independence Day Parade is on July 4 at 11:45 a.m. The parade route is from Constitution Avenue from 7th Street to 17th Street. If you're planning to head downtown, expect major road closures, parking restrictions, site shutdowns, and even watercraft limitations across the city.

Crowds gathered across Philadelphia on Friday to celebrate Independence Day, from the parade to the fireworks as part of Wawa Welcome America’s annual festivities. But this year, the event’s concert faced some last-minute changes.

While demonstrations from Washington to Los Angeles were largely festive, with food trucks and live music, protesters were determined to speak for their cause.
