Parents of some of the Camp Mystic campers who died in the July 4 Texas floods testified in front of Kerr County officials, giving tearful statements and demanding change.

Parents of young girls who died in last month's flooding in the Texas Hill Country were in Austin on Wednesday to testify about proposed flood safety legislation for camps and campgrounds.Wednesday's hearing was the first time parents of the victims spoke to the Legislature publicly.

Parents whose children were among 27 killed at Camp Mystic on Texas' Guadalupe River during the Fourth of July flash flooding are scheduled to testify.
