The NFL Draft has crystallized where opportunity exists on the roster for the Broncos, including a big one for second-year RB Audric Estimé.

The Denver Broncos picked running back RJ Harvey in the second round of the 2025 NFL draft last week. Harvey played college football at UCF, finishing his career with 1,577 yards on the ground and 22 touchdowns in 2024.

Of their original set, the only pick Denver actually used was No. 20 on Texas cornerback Jahdae Barron. The Broncos actually considered trading back from there, too, Paton said Thursday night, to take a running back (Ohio State’s TreVeyon Henderson, sources said) later in the first round.

The Broncos were ecstatic that Barron fell to them at pick No. 20 -- and his versatility will give them options on defense.

7. Loser: WR Troy Franklin. After an underwhelming rookie season, Franklin now faces competition from third-round pick Pat Bryant. Franklin shouldn't be in danger of getting cut, but Byrant could take away snaps from the second-year WR.
