The X-Men gather for the Hellfire Vigil to mourn Krakoa, but is it really an idea worth mourning in the first place?

It’s an interesting time for the Hellfire Gala, which recently became a map for Marvel Rivals and is now considered part of X-Men lore. The Hellfire Vigil special releases on July 2.

2. Map Rotation Update: Hellfire Gala: Krakoa will enter the Competitive pool, while Yggsgard: Royal Palace and Tokyo 2099: Shin-Shibuya will be retired from ranked play.

There’s also the new Krakoa map. As with season 1, season 2 will be split into two halves. Emma Frost and the Krakoa map will come with the launch and Ultron coming in the mid-season patch.

Fans are pumped about this. Professor X is a huge name in X-Men lore, and with the Krakoa map coming, it feels like a natural fit. Some are hoping for a full X-Men season with characters like Cyclops.
