A 5-year-old boy was killed after a hyperbaric chamber blew up inside the building. His mom, who was next to the chamber at the time, also suffered injuries to her arms.

The medical facility, The Oxford Center, is located at 165 Kirts Boulevard. The explosion happened shortly before 8 a.m. and police said the boy was found dead inside the chamber. His mother, who was injured, was there with him at the facility, officials said.

Officials in Troy will hold a press conference late Friday morning to discuss an explosion at a medical facility.
