An LSU student has been arrested after allegedly making an online threat to kill Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry, who advocated for bringing a live tiger onto the field as part of a recent college football game.

BATON ROUGE, La. — A live tiger entered LSU's Tiger Stadium on Saturday for the SEC game against Alabama, following confirmation of its attendance by Gov. Jeff Landry on Friday. The tiger was seen lying down in a cage, and then was quickly taken off the field, according to Nola.com.

No state or LSU funds were used "for any aspect of the tiger" that made an appearance at the LSU-Alabama game Saturday, Gov. Jeff Landry's office said. The office declined to answer where the funds to pay the organization that owns the Bengal tiger, named Omar Bradley, came from.
