A national furniture store chain is closing all 15 of its location in Michigan, with liquidation sales underway.

American Freight, a furniture and appliance retailer, begins closing its 370 stores amid bankruptcy of its parent company, Franchise Group Inc. Other Franchise Group brands will stay open.

Store closing sales have begun in-store and online, with discounts of up to 30% off the lowest ticketed prices.

The Tacoma location of American Freight will close along with the other 327 stores in the United States. The parent company of the nationwide appliance and furniture store, Franchise Group, began Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings in federal court in Delaware.

A large furniture chain announced the closure of all of its locations nationwide earlier this month, including many in Virginia and one in Maryland. American Freight has already begun closing down its 328 locations and its online warehouse.
