Flurries are forecast to start falling in East Tennessee late Friday morning through the early afternoon, depending on the city. The storm will continue through Friday afternoon and night. Due to the storm, East Tennessee will accumulate between 3-6 inches of fresh snow.

A major winter storm, bringing significant snow accumulation, has arrived in Middle Tennessee. Here is when you can expect the snow to move out.

The warning for Lincoln, Moore, and Franklin Counties runs from Midnight Friday to 6 AM Saturday. The rest of Middle TN and Southern KY are under the warning from 3 AM Friday to 6 AM Saturday. It is a good setup for accumulating snow with cold air in place and a low-pressure center coming from the Gulf with lots of moisture.

East Tennessee saw snow begin to fall Friday morning, leading to difficult driving conditions and covering several areas in white.

Nashville and Middle Tennessee are expected to get between six and eight inches of snow Friday, according to the National Weather Service.

A winter storm warning has been issued for all of Middle Tennessee. While most areas could receive between three to six inches of snow on Friday, some areas could see as much as seven inches.
