Guitarist Steuart Smith announced this week that his time with The Eagles has come to an end. The musician, who has been touring with the rock group since 2001, attributed his decision to step out of the position he has embraced for more than two decades to a recent health diagnosis.

Holt is joining the touring lineup since longtime Eagles guitarist Steuart Smith has been diagnosed with Parkinsonism, a term that refers to a collection of conditions that cause trouble with movement. Holt will be with the band for their Sphere concerts through April.

The Eagles took the stage to play their first Sphere show of 2025 with a new guitarist in tow. Chris Holt is playing with the legendary band after long-time guitarist Steuart Smith was diagnosed with Parkinsonism.
