Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Emil Lilleberg has been suspended for two games by the NHL for a hit on Detroit Red Wings center J.T. Compher during the second period on Saturday. Compher finished the game but is experiencing some issues since. He is out for tonight’s game against the Los Angeles Kings and perhaps longer.

And unlike the first meeting of the season between the Atlantic Division rivals, this night all the Wings needed was one goal — and 28 saves from Cam Talbot — which was enough to secure a 2-0 victory.

A redirection for rookie forward Marco Kasper was the only goal that beat either team’s goalie in Saturday’s 2-0 win for the Detroit Red Wings over the Tampa Bay Lightning. Kasper scored on a netfront deflection, the puck hitting the right post and finding the back of the Tampa Bay net for a 1-0 lead midway through the second period.
