Hogan said she chose to retire because she's been working for 40 years and her husband retired eight years ago.

Actor Francisco San Martin, who appeared in "Days of Our Lives," was found dead in his home from an apparent suicide.

San Martin died by suicide at his home on Thursday, Jan. 16, the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office confirmed.

"I can think of no better way of ending a career of public service than serving the Democratic Party and championing the values we hold dear," Hogan wrote.
