On Saturday, head coach Lincoln Riley completed another big move by hiring two-time Super Bowl champion Rob Ryan to the coaching staff. His official title, per USC's announcement, is assistant head coach for defense, linebackers coach.

Longtime NFL defensive coordinator Rob Ryan has been named Southern California’s assistant head coach for defense and linebackers coach.

Former New Orleans Saints defensive coordinator Rob Ryan is now coaching college football with the USC Trojans:

“Rob Ryan, a former NFL defensive coordinator and brother of Rex Ryan, has been named USC’s linebackers coach and assistant head coach,” Kartje wrote on Twitter. “ D’Anton Lynn knows the Ryan family well. Rex was a longtime mentor to Lynn, and now his brother joins Lynn on USC’s staff.”

The Dallas Cowboys have announced they will not bring back coach Mike McCarthy. McCarthy’s deal ended after the 2024 season, and the two sides did not work out
