The Athletic's Jayson Stark took a deep dive into the Hall of Fame chances for a couple modern day closers with Billy Wagner receiving enshrinement this year.

The bad news is that Andruw Jones will have to wait at least one more year. The good news is that he is on a path similar to the one traveled by former Braves closer Billy Wagner, one of the baseball’s new Hall of Famers.

Closer Billy Wagner, whose final season came in with the Braves, was elected into the Hall of Fame on Tuesday. He appeared on 85.2% of ballots cast by members of the Baseball Writers’ Association of America.
