More snow is on the way for parts of Pennsylvania. A storm that will bring snow from the Midwest to the central Appalachians is predicted to take place from Wednesday evening into Thursday night, according to Accuweather.

Snowfall ranges from only six to 12 inches over far southeast Lower Michigan including Detroit and Monroe to over 10 feet of snow in the purple areas near Gaylord and Munising in the Upper Peninsula.

Winter weather advisories or winter storm warnings are in place for nine states across the U.S. as of early Tuesday morning, and up to nine inches of snow is forecast by the National Weather Service (NWS) in some parts of the country.

A winter storm warning was issued by the National Weather Service on Wednesday at 1:41 p.m. valid from Thursday 7 a.m. until Friday 7 a.m. for Westmoreland Ridges and Fayette Ridges.

Bands of lake effect snow pounding the Tug Hill plateau today are expected to drift south late this afternoon, bringing 3 to 7 inches of snow to much of Central New York through Thursday. More than 3 feet of snow could fall in the traditional lake effect bull’s eye of Tug Hill.
