Johan Oviedo earned his first major league win since 2023 and the Pittsburgh Pirates beat the Toronto Blue Jays 2-1 to take the three-game series.

Offensively, George Springer hit his 20th home run of the campaign, while Alejandro Kirk hit his 10th. It was part of a three-hit night for Kirk where he went 3-for-5 with three RBIs. He also tied World Series winner Pat Borders in some history among Jays catchers.

An MRI performed on Toronto first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr.’s tight left hamstring showed no damage, though he was not in the lineup on Tuesday night for the Blue Jays’ game in Pittsburgh
