With 3:23 remaining in the game, the Knights had turned a 18-point deficit into a 34-28 nail biter and UCF had an opportunity to take the lead for good after forcing a three-and-out against TCU’s offense. It was a major crossroads for TCU’s new defense which had played well in the first half, but punished by UCF’s run game in the second half.

The KillerFrogs members talked about the UCF loss after the game on Saturday. While TCU scored 34 points with over 450 yards of offense, the Horned Frogs' inability to run the ball cost them dearly in the end.

The Horned Frogs dominated the game for almost three quarters, leading 28-7 and 31-13 at different points in the second half, but somehow TCU let KJ Jefferson and Central Florida outscore them 22-3 in a span of about 20 minutes of game time. It left a half-empty Amon G. Carter Stadium stunned as a statement win turned into an alarming loss.

The Knights (3-0, 1-0 Big 12 Conference) matched the largest come-from-behind win in team history Saturday night in Fort Worth, Texas.
