Florida State took the lead on a touchdown pass from DJ Uiagalelei to Ja'Khi Douglas in the fourth quarter while the defense held Cal scoreless on four of its five drives in the second half. That included the final possession of the game when the Golden Bears entered the red zone but the Seminoles sent them tumbling backwards to finish off the victory.

Cal leaves Tallahassee with its first ACC victory, and first win over the Seminoles in program history. While FSU will show improvement defensively, particularly along the defensive front, a returning Ott will power the Golden Bears to victory on the ground.
